Three years after the demise of the old QX50, Infiniti is preparing to launch its replacement. As you’d expect given the timeframe, the new QX50 uses a fresh platform and has a revised design.
Under the bonnet is the brand’s new VC-T variable compression ratio petrol engine, with 268bhp and 380Nm of torque, delivering 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds.
Just as hi-tech is the handling, because Infiniti is persevering with its steer-by-wire set-up. But considering past iterations of this system have felt oddly remote and overly direct, it’ll be interesting to see whether it has been improved for the QX50.Read more at www.oktilli.com
